Insulens Nutrition & Metabolic Health App

A focused health app that helps people see food through the lens of insulin, notice daily patterns and build a more useful picture of their nutrition.

Insulens dashboard showing metabolic health, a food-response score of 24 out of 100, and scan and log actions

Project overview

From food logging to a live daily picture

Insulens turns a specific health idea into a calm, practical product experience. Users can log food, activity and glucose readings, then see estimated food-response intensity and possible overlap across the day.

The product is deliberately clear that its score is an estimate, not a glucose or insulin reading, diagnosis or judgement.

The product journey

Make a complex health idea easier to understand

The experience keeps the first action simple, then gives users enough context to understand what their records may be showing over time.

  • Scan or search what you eat
  • See the estimated response over time
  • Notice patterns across the day

What was built

A focused app for better everyday context

  • Food scanning and searchable food logging
  • Estimated food-response intensity from 0–100
  • Six-hour activity and overlap view
  • Daily metabolic timeline
  • Food, activity and glucose diary tools
  • Google sign-in and history across devices

The outcome

A useful product without overclaiming what the data means

Insulens makes a complex nutrition and metabolic-health concept approachable: log what happened, see an estimate of likely response intensity and notice how moments may stack across the day. The language stays honest about uncertainty and keeps the product focused on awareness rather than diagnosis.
